Hi, and thank you for visiting my website! I'm very excited about my new book, Black of Night. For those of you who loved Running Home, I think you will enjoy this one just as much. It is suspenseful, and Benny is smart like Byron (the main character of Running Home). If you weren't a cat person before, you will be after reading Black of Night.
In the last year since Running Home came out, I've had the privilege of meeting wonderful people and doing exciting things. Byron and I have visited Michigan schools all over the state, as well as animal rescue events and church fundraisers. My favorite reward is when someone comes up to me and says, "I read your book, and I loved it!" I am even more flattered when elementary school fans want to be my friend on Facebook! I have received dozens of cards and emails from students telling me how they are inspired to either write a book or adopt a dog! Getting young people excited like that has been my mission all along, and Byron's had a lot to do with it. For those of you who haven't seen him in action, he is quite the ham!
Speaking of Byron and my family, as you can see, we have more pets than people in our house! There are always at least three of us running to answer the door; hair has become an added fiber in our diet; our favorite name brands are Pro Plan, Iams, Zupreem, and Kaytee; going to the vet is usually a family affair; it's very hard to find a spot on the sofa or in bed; and we travel in a motor home so EVERYONE can go! Thank goodness for the groomer down the street and Pet Supplies Plus a few blocks away. I'm also thankful for the humans in our family, Larry, Jake, and Josie. They share in doling out plenty of love and food, keeping everyone happy, healthy, meowing, squawking, barking, and squeaking.
Thanks again for visiting jennifercharronwardbooks! And, may nose slobber and lounging cats forever decorate your windows!
Gratefully yours,
Jennifer Charron Ward
